The YMCA is one of the things that has lasted in this world where so much comes and goes so quickly. It is stable, value-based, professionally managed, in touch with public sentiment, and capable of meeting the changing conditions and needs of the future.
Friends of the YMCA are helping to extend it’s influence beyond their own lifetimes with gifts of a part of the assets they have accumulated to the North Central Missouri YMCA’s Permanent Endowment. Such gifts can be designated to support the overall work of the YMCA or specific program.
The
Nation's tax laws provide incentives that encourage philanthropy in recognition of the singular role charitable organizations (including the YMCA) play in meeting important needs in our
society.
Thank you to Friends of the YMCA that have given gifts to ensure the YMCA will continue with its mission in our community.

As a Y Donor...
YMCAs embrace people of all ages, incomes, abilities, religions and ethnic backgrounds; they're for everyone.
Ys work to break barriers of isolation and to create the connections between people that add meaning to life. Children and families who cannot afford to pay full costs deserve the experiences the Y offers as much as those who can. Your support, which goes beyond membership fees, helps YMCAs provide programs to those who otherwise couldn't afford to participate.
The YMCA needs you to help children and teens grow up happy and strong. To support families in their efforts to be successful. And to make your neighborhood a safer, healthier, better place to live and work. Won't you please help by supporting your local YMCA?

PARTNERS
WITH YOUTH CAMPAIGN
It has
been the YMCA's philosophy, both nationally and in the Linn County
area, to assure that its facilities and programs are open to all
regardless of race, religion, age, handicap, national origin, or
inability to pay. We are particularly concerned here in North
Central Missouri that children from lower income homes have the
same opportunity to become involved with the YMCA as children who
are more economically advantaged. Therefore, the NCM YMCA actively
promotes a scholarship program which provides Y memberships and
programs for people in the lower economic conditions. Although scholarship recipients come from all over our service area, the benchmark that we use to determine whether a child or family is eligible for aid is having a total household income level that is in the lowest quartile for Linn County. Through
the first five months of 2010, the North Central Missouri YMCA has given away more than $11,000 worth of program and membership fees to qualified people.
Donor levels:
Friend: $1-149
Century: $150-749
Patron: $750 and up
You may help the YMCA in this endeavor through gifts to the YMCA Partner With Youth Program. Contributions are tax deductible. You may earmark your gift to help a particular boy, girl or family, or it may be used wherever the need is the greatest. The YMCA conducts an annual campaign to help kids, but would gladly accept a one-time contribution as well. Any size contribution helps, but inasmuch as it costs an average of $75 per child per year to provide scholarships, gifts of $75 or multiples thereof would be appreciated.
